Sam has been coding for almost two decades. He completed his IT apprenticeship at PwC, created apps and managed a software team at ETH Zürich, and earned a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from EPFL followed by a Master's in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich. At Octanis, he spends most of his time orchestrating projects and listening to customers.

Raffael completed a Master's in Micro- and Nanoelectronics at EPFL with a thesis on ultrasonic transducers at Stanford, where he also attended the d.school. Before co-founding Octanis, he designed analog on-chip components for RFID products at EM Microelectronics (Swatch Group). He was an engineering coach for EPFL's China Hardware Innovation Camp, visiting Shenzhen many times. Raffael designs, assembles, and tests PCBs or writes firmware for customer hardware.
